Health Benefits of Floating

If you’ve been searching for the perfect way to truly unwind—like, really unwind—and reset both your body and mind, it’s time to dive into the serene world of Float Therapy. Whether you’re looking to relieve tension, disconnect from the world, or simply take some time for yourself, float therapy offers a unique, deeply restorative experience.

Here’s the thing: float therapy isn’t just a fancy bath; there is a science to it. The sensory deprivation involved in floating allows your brain to enter a deep meditative state, which has been shown to reduce pain perception, improve circulation, and even boost creativity. Think of it as hitting the “pause” button on the stresses of daily life, and in that silence, your body and mind can finally repair themselves.

The high concentration of Epsom salt in the water also plays a role here. Magnesium, which is absorbed through the skin during your float, has been linked to reduced muscle tension and improved sleep quality. So if you’ve been tossing and turning at night, float therapy can help you feel more rested and ready to take on the day.

In addition, floating encourages the production of alpha brain waves, which are the same waves your brain produces when you’re in a relaxed, creative state (think daydreaming or meditating). This brain wave state is linked to reduced anxiety, better emotional regulation, and improved focus.
