Whether you're visiting our Saint Paul float center or our Hudson, WI float therapy location, these simple steps will help you get the most out of your session.
Eat a light meal about 60 minutes before your float.
Avoid arriving hungry or overly full (both can be distracting).
Use the restroom before your session begins.
Remove contact lenses to avoid irritation from the Epsom salt water.
Caffeine: Skip coffee, energy drinks, or stimulants. They increase heart rate and make relaxation harder.
Shaving: Do not shave within 12 hours of floating; saltwater may irritate freshly shaved skin.
Hair Dye:
Dark dye: Wait 2 weeks
Light dye: Wait 1 week
Awaken is not responsible for color changes caused by saltwater.
New Tatto :
Wait 3-4 weeks.
Disrobe completely.
Insert provided ear plugs.
Shower thoroughly before entering the float tank.
Step in carefully and begin floating effortlessly.
Your body will naturally find the center of the tank.
It’s normal to gently bump the walls—simply nudge yourself back to center.
Allow your mind to wander; you do not need to track time.
We will signal when your session is over.
Standard position: Lie on your back with arms at your sides.
If your neck feels tight, gently cradle your hands under your head.
Try stretching your chest by raising your arms overhead for deeper relaxation.
Avoid rubbing your eyes; the saltwater will sting.
Move slowly—surfaces may be slippery.
Shower thoroughly to remove salt.
Towel dry and dress comfortably.
Keep your earplugs for up to 5 uses.
