Frequently Asked Questions

How are the tanks cleaned?

The solution is super saturated with Epsom salt – a very inhospitable environment to micro-organisms. We filter three times between floats, using a micron filter, ultra violet light sterilization and Hydrogen Peroxide between sessions and additionally at the beginning and end of the day. We strive to meet or exceed NSF standards for safety and sanitation and monitor tank chemistry daily.

Should I remove my contacts?

We can’t stress this enough! Please remove your contacts. We provide disposable containers for your contact lenses and also solution. Feel free to bring your own solution and containers.

Can I float If I'm Pregnant?

YES! This is one of the best ways to relieve some of those pains and aches caused by being pregnant. Also you will feel weightless in the tank. This is also a wonderful spiritual moment for mother and baby. You may want to consult your physician or care provider due to the nature of the magnesium sulfate laying on your back (of course experiencing very little gravity).

Should I bring anything?

We provide you with earplugs, towels, shampoo, and soap. Conditioner is also available but please do not use before your float. We also have a hair dryer located in the downstairs restroom. If you require any special toiletries you can bring those for use after your float only please.

What do I wear?

Wear what ever you would like to Awaken. Please refrain from wearing any clothing within the float tanks though. We like to make sure you have the full experience and no dyes are exposed to our clean environment. Don’t forget to take off all your BLING! (jewelry;).
